Sumix Corporation specializes in the development and manufacturing of high-precision microscopes and interferometers designed for the inspection and control of geometrical parameters of fiber optic connectors. We recognize the importance of protecting our customers' information and are committed to maintaining its confidentiality and security.

MaxInspect™ software provided with Sumix devices does not transmit any measurement data acquired during the inspection process to Sumix servers. By default, all measurement results remain under the control of the user.
Transmission of measurement data to Sumix servers occurs only when customers place orders for Centralized Database hosting services offered by Sumix. In such cases, customer placement of the order constitutes consent for Sumix to host the specified measurement data.
Reports generated by the software are stored locally on the user's system and are not transmitted to Sumix or shared with any third parties.

Materials and information provided by customers — including but not limited to technical drawings, component or process descriptions, test samples, and specification documents —are considered the property of the customer.
Materials provided by customers will be treated as confidential when a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has been executed between the customer and Sumix Corporation.
Sumix will collect Personal Data about identified or identifiable individuals who interact with Sumix on behalf of Customer when Sumix quotes for, takes orders for, acknowledges orders for, invoices, sells, licenses or delivers products, software or services. Personal Data may include the relevant individual's name, business address, email address and telephone number (collectively referred to as "Personal Data").
Sumix uses Customer Personal Data to facilitate the business relationship between Sumix and Customer so that Sumix can fulfill its contractual obligations.
Sumix relies on the following legal bases to use and process Personal Data:
a. The processing is necessary for Sumix's legitimate interests to manage the commercial relationship with Customer and for related functions including administrative purposes, such as business processes, maintaining business and statutory records, correspondence with Customer, addressing requests made by Customer, providing goods, software or services to Customer, business analysis, transactions, security and planning.
b. The processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between Sumix and Customer to provide goods, software or services to Customer.
c. The processing is necessary for compliance with Sumix's legal obligations, such as accounting and tax requirements.
Personal Data will be collected through normal business interactions such as sharing contact details between employees of Sumix and Customer, e-mail exchanges, organizing meetings, and transfer of commercial and contractual documents.
Sumix will retain Personal Data for as long as it is relevant to the commercial relationship with Sumix or as long as necessary to comply with any legal obligation or to fulfill the above-listed purposes.
In respect of Personal Data stored and processed by Sumix, relevant individuals within the Customer are entitled to request access to, rectification or erasure of their own Personal Data. They are also entitled to request restriction of processing or to object to processing of such Personal Data and other rights in accordance with applicable law. Relevant individuals may exercise such rights by contacting us at info-team@sumix.com.
Sumix will provide the relevant individuals with a response in accordance with applicable data protection law. Sumix may refuse to provide such information in limited circumstances under applicable local law. Sumix may not be able to honor specific requests (such as to delete data or stop sharing data with third parties) when doing so would limit Sumix's abilities to meet its contractual and legal responsibilities.
Relevant individuals also have the right to lodge a complaint before their local data privacy authority should Sumix violate applicable data privacy laws in our processing of Personal Data.
Customer Personal Data is used by appropriate functions within Sumix to fulfill our contractual obligations. Sumix applies the principle of least access to limit access to Personal Data.
Sumix may share Customer Data with service providers that support Sumix's business operations under appropriate confidentiality terms with government authorities as required by law, and in the event of a business transaction where assets are transferred to another party.
Sumix takes appropriate measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of Personal Data it holds and to limit access to that Personal Data in order to safeguard it from loss, interference, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
In the event of a data breach or security incident that may, or has, compromised Sumix's processing and/or the security of Customer Personal Data, Sumix will notify Customer through available channels of communication in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

All samples provided by customers for testing or validation are stored, processed, and returned as agreed upon.
Measurement results of customer samples are treated as confidential when covered by an NDA.
Sumix instruments and software do not utilize third-party online platforms or cloud services for measurement data storage or transfer unless explicitly agreed upon in writing with the customer.

All content on Sumix Corporation websites, software, documentation, and materials —including but not limited to logos, trademarks, trade names, text, images, graphics, sound, animation, and video files, and their arrangement — are proprietary to Sumix Corporation or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and patent rights, are reserved.
